SASHIKO MENDING WORKSHOP ✨️ MAY 29TH 6:00 PM

Let’s extend the lives of our clothes with hand mending and upcycling skills! This beginner-friendly workshop will start with an intro on the history and techniques of sashiko, then transition into an interactive repair session where attendees work on a piece of their choice. So, bring your ripped pants and shirts to repair together, or just come learn and practice on samples you can later use as a patch! The main materials (sashiko needles, thread and Japanese patching fabrics) will be provided. Just bring yourself, your curiosity, and if you’d like, an item of clothing to repair.
